Bias 3

On Monday February 3 2014, a teenager student in Russia shot his teacher and a police officer and left 20 students hostages. The murderer was luckily stopped by his father after a while of fear in the school.
The shocking incident that happened on a regular day in Russia was included in the three newspapers mentioned above. Starting with article A “The new york times” they indicated basic information about the killer by only describing him as a teenager. They also were not specific about how many hostages were in the crime, but they did include many different opinions from people and classmate upon this kid who is the killer. Next article B “Yahoo news”, they started identifying the student as a 10th grader and they were specific about the students that were hostages in that school by giving an accurate number which is 20 students. They also mentioned that there was a second police officer that was wounded in that scene. Plus they have included the Russian president point of view upon this crime. After that article C included all the accurate information about the crime like the number of hostages and the age of the murderer with providing 12 different photos of the crime. They also claimed that the teacher was not murdered, he was just severely injured. But they didn’t talk about the second police officer that was wounded.

Summing up, all the articles came from well-known newspapers. But I had to choose one I’ll go with article C, Because it was the most accurate upon all by mentioning that the teacher was not killed and they have a lot of pictures that help us understand the scene better. I may disagree with the fact that they didn’t mention the injured police officer, but mentioning a much important fact like the teacher is not dead is more important in my point of view.
